In this example, I am using an NVIDIA Shield, but this process works for any device running the Android TV operating system.
This also includes MECOOL Boxes, Tivo Stream 4K, Dynalink, Mi Boxes, and more.
Select the Google Play Store from the home screen.
Click the search icon.
Type in “downloader” and click Search.
Select Downloader by AFTVnews.
Click Install.
Installation is complete.
By default, Android does not allow the installation of third-party apps.
Therefore, you must first change this setting to enable sideloading. Please follow these steps:
Go to “Settings”
Go to “System”
Go to “About”
Scroll down to “Android TV OS build” at the bottom and select it about 7 times until you see
“You are now a developer!” appear at the bottom of the screen.
Follow the below steps to sideload STBEmu Pro on your Android:
Launch Downloader and download the APK file you want to install by entering the URL.
Click the URL box.
Enter the following URL: https://d-wigy.com/stbpro/ and click Go. Then, wait a few moments for the APK file to download.
Click Install.
Click Done.
STBEmu Pro has a simple user interface that is easy to navigate. When you launch the app, you’ll see three options: Configure application, Restore Settings, and Close, at the bottom of the screen.
**Note : If you see a blue screen, don’t worry, it is completely normal. Use your Firestick remote’s mouse cursor and
move to the upper right corner to reveal the on-screen remote. Click the three dots to open the dropdown menu, then select Settings to continue your STBEMU app setup.
In the settings of the STB Emulator app, select “Profiles.” This section lets you manage how the app connects to IPTV.
Choosing the correct profile ensures your connection is accurate and ready for portal and server setup.
Hover over the “New Profile” option and press enter once highlighted. If you're using multiple IPTV servers, create several profiles.
This way, you can switch easily between them without needing to reconfigure everything again each time you watch.
Next, go into “Portal Settings.” This is where you'll enter the portal information provided by your Cloudy Stream.
It’s a key step in setting up the emulator for successful playback and linking to your live TV content.
Here you’ll see “Portal URL” as the first option. You must edit this based on the IPTV service you use.
This URL should be given to you Cloudy Stream to link the STB emulator correctly.
Exit one step back to profile settings from step five, and then select “STB configuration.”
This section handles key device settings and is essential before your IPTV connection can be used properly through the emulator app.
Inside “STB Configuration,” you’ll see the MAC address starting with 00:1A:79. This is what you’ll give your provider.
Make sure it’s correct and activated, or the service will not connect through the IPTV portal.
now just keep pressing back or exit until you see the blue screen. From here use the mouse cursor and select anywhere on the screen,
this will reveal the on-screen remote. Select the 3 dots on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
This will display the dropdown menu. Select 'Profile' twice, which will make the screen flash and restart the portal.
If all entries are correct and your service is active, you will see a yellow loading bar.
To reload the portal, simply click on the upper-left corner of the screen, where you'll see the 'Reload Portal' option.
That’s all there’s to it, you should now know how to sideload applications like the STB emulator on your Amazon Android / Fire TV. Here’s a quick check-list you’re still having issues with the service is not working, just make sure you go through the following checklist:
You can always double check with your provider to confirm if the proper MAC address is being used.
Make sure correct URL has been entered in exactly. A single typo will result in an error message.
This would be the most infuriating thing to discover what’s been holding you back so just double check network settings to make sure you have access to the internet.
