First, download PuTTY. It’s a free SSH/Telnet client for Windows. Use this link: http://www.putty.org
Download the program and install Putty. This tool allows you to access your device remotely via SSH. Make sure the installation is successful, as you will use Putty to connect with your Firestick or Android-based streaming box.
Take the IP address of the box you are setting up. You can usually find it in the device’s network settings. This IP will be entered into Putty to directly connect to your streaming device.
Go to the “Hostname” section in Putty. Under this section, enter the box’s IP address exactly. This step is essential for a successful SSH connection between your computer and the device you’re trying to configure.
Click on the “Open” button in Putty after entering the IP address. This will initiate the SSH session with your device. Make sure your box is powered on and connected to the same network to avoid errors.
To open the black screen, wait a moment after hitting “Open” in Putty. A command line window will appear. This screen is where you’ll enter commands to communicate directly with your streaming box via SSH.
Enter your device’s Root user and password in the black screen terminal. This allows you administrative access to perform advanced configuration. If credentials are unknown, contact your provider or check your device’s setup documentation.
